Katchadragoogoo?

Well actually it was three shy but who's counting? I certainly wasn't. If you're wondering what I'm on abut or even why you're still reading let me explain...

Today I revisited Crystal Palace Tri for the third time. It's a sprint distance triathlon of 400m swim, 20k ride, 5k run. I haven't swum more then a length in the pool in about what feels like a year and so I was surprised to have actually enjoyed that part of the race even if it did hurt. From memory it used to hurt even when I practiced it so I'm wondering if all that boring pool time was really worth the effort.

The ride is 9 laps of a closed circuit within the grounds of Crystal Palace Park, the last two times I've been here for the same race I've only got the lap counting right once so it was 50/50 whether I'd get it right today. As you might have now worked out I didn't quite manage it. It was pretty good being there on the bike though when I was there and I would have actually liked to do some more laps rather then cut it short. My excuse today was the auto lap feature which whenever I had ridden a mile added another lap to the manual additions that I was making. I did notice that I had made the distance but I didn't want to go too far as I had done the other time I f'd up.

On to the run and I managed a reasonable time considering I'd just ridden a few miles. I think I finished it in just over 20 mins but I'll find out soon enough if I'm right.

Apart from that I've been reasonably active on the bike. I've went to Herne Hill for an induction on the track, raced at two cyclo cross events, a couple of closed circuit road races and I've also been commuting.

The other news is that from October I'm going to be getting some coaching which I'm really looking forward too. And I've also been propersitioned, will wait and see what happens with that though...
